Freebiepalooza & a Song

Hello friends!! I hope you're getting settled into your new routines and getting those babies trained for lots of learning! I'm feeling very thankful for internet these days, and have thus spent my weekend busy as can be working to create some great freebies for you all! Seemed like a good weekend to do it - we've have record temperatures and humidity and frankly, I'd rather be inside on days like that!

My weather loss is your freebie gain. So here are some great treats for you, in honor of Freebiepalooza!

First, a fun math activity/game.  It looks like I might be attempting a math workshop this year.  After reading Amy's post on Where Seconds Count, I thought this little game might be a good option for workshop. {Graphics courtesy of Scrappin' Doodles)  Enjoy!

Next up are the little labels I used for my birthday bags.  I was inspired to make ALL of my birthday goodie bags before the first day of school when I read Cara's post on birthdays from July.  I downloaded her freebie and used them inside my birthday bags, but I wanted my own label for the outside.

Now it's yours!

You might remember this post from summer about my Sound & Word Study Book.  Well I've revamped the files and now you can have the updated versions!  I divided them into two separate files and added a sheet for labels, which seems a bit easier than cutting a gluing.  I also added some components for word study, and some pictures.

If you decide to use these, I'd love to hear how it works out!

Finally, a little Noun song for you! It's to the tune of 'The Farmer in the Dell'.  Let that swim in your head for a couple of minutes months.  You know that's what happens.

Have a great week friends! I hope you like your treats!

PS: If you're a Daily Fiver, I've got some great things brewing for you! Stay tuned this week for some great stuff.  Oh, and speaking of Daily Five, I did the Good Fit shoe lesson on Friday but forgot all the shoes in my classroom.  I went in there today to pick up some things and it SMELLED AWFUL! Seems like using my husband's running shoes for the lesson wasn't a very good fit all, fragrantly speaking.

How's the Daily Five going for you? Are your kiddos increasing their minutes? Isn't it SO hard to be patient and not just jump right into meeting with groups?  I struggle with that every year - I'd love any tips you have on that matter.

Okay, now I'm really going.  I need to Google how to clean running shoes.

  3. LOL, no tips from me--I'm just as impatient as you are! Oh, how I long for the smooth, well oiled machine that was my Daily 5 last April! LOL. Can't wait to get them all up and running! :)
